Library Programs

Storytime at the Library (in-person or Zoom)
Join librarian Cathi Wilken and trustee Laura Lawson-Tucker for stories and songs on Tuesdays at 2 pm. In person at the library or via Zoom. Contact staff@guilfordfreelibraryvt.org for information on how to join via Zoom or any other questions. All are welcome.
Talk About Books (adult book group)
Join librarian Leah Gessner every third Wednesday of the month in person at Guilford Free Library or via zoom at 6:30. All are welcome to request a copy of the current book by emailing or calling the library. See http://guilfordfreelibraryvt.blogspot.com/ to learn more about what the group is reading this month.

Guilford Winter Pen Pals
This is an opportunity to combat the tendency of isolation and cabin fever during the winter, and to build connections throughout our community, by exchanging letters “pen pal” style. The set up is simple: participants will be given the contact info of a correspondence partner. When you send the first letter, you are off!

Summer Camp - Guilford Free Library's Summer Reading Program
Each camp begins and ends at the library. Breakfast and healthy snack are provided.
There is no charge for any Guilford child, but a minimal charge will be made for a child
who lives out of town. Transportation will be provided by Library trustees for any child
who needs it in order to attend. Call 802-257-4603 or email staff@guilfordfreelibraryvt.org for more information.

Halloween in Guilford Center Village
Witches, monsters, fairy tale creatures, animals and any others are invited to Trick or Treat the six homes and library in Guilford Center Village on October 31, from 5-6 PM. At 6 PM Laura Lawson and Bob Tucker will lead a parade from in front of the library to the Playscape. Once at the Playscape, Laura will lead songs and fingerplays, and tell a story by the fire bowl, all geared for the younger set (babies, toddlers, preschoolers and grades 1-3).
